World Diabetes Day To Be Marked On Nov 13

KARACHI, Nov 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : The World Diabetes Day (WDD) would be marked in the metropolis on November 13. The theme for the WDD 2016 would be `Eyes on Diabetes'.

The Diabetic Association of Pakistan (DAP) in association with the World health Organization (WHO), Karachi Centre, will organize a day-long moot at a local hotel on November 13.

The scientific session in the morning would be meant for doctors and the experts would deliver state of the art lectures on the treatment and prevention of diabetes.

The afternoon session would be for the people with diabetes and their family members. A former Speaker of the National Assembly, Illahi Bux Soomro, who is also the patron of the DAP, will be the chief guest.

The Liaquat National Hospital will also organize a health awareness programme and a free medical camp in connection with the WDD at its premises here on November 12. APP/rak/fc/rn
