Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla has said that security and stability is in the best interest of the whole region and Pakistan has always supported initiatives aimed at peace and consider it important for development and regional prosperity

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 07th March, 2019) Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla has said that security and stability is in the best interest of the whole region and Pakistan has always supported initiatives aimed at peace and consider it important for development and regional prosperity.Deputy Chairman Senate expressed these views in meeting with Ardi Stoios-Braken, Ambassador of Kingdom of Netherlands here at Parliament House on Thursday.

Senator Mohammad Azam Khan Swati was also present at the meeting.He said that Pakistan provides a conducive environment for investment in livestock and dairy, agriculture, energy and other sectors and Dutch companies can get benefit from the potential of these sectors for mutual benefits of two sides. He said that Pakistan is open to business and want active and robust linkages between business communities of the two countries. He added that a number of initiatives are being taken to bring in more business and investment and create an atmosphere of ease of doing business.

He also underscored the need for enhance parliamentary linkages to share ideas, exchange thoughts and learn from each other expertise through institutional collaboration.The Dutch ambassador thanked the Deputy Chairman Senate for the warm welcome and appreciated his views about Pak-Dutch ties. She said that there are so many companies interested to invest in Pakistan and there exist better bilateral relations between Netherlands and Pakistan.

Senator Mandviwalla said that Constitution of Pakistan gives equal rights to women and also provides for women reserved seats in the Parliament. He said that Pakistan is gradually empowering its women with better education, health facilities, ensure equal job opportunities and respect their legal rights.Deputy Chairman Senate said that Pakistan highly values its bilateral relations with Netherlands and desires to expand these ties further for mutual benefits. Both the Deputy Chairman and Dutch ambassador also exchanged views on matters of mutual interests and expressed desire to work for further promoting multi-sectoral cooperation. NNI
