Ghosn, who was arrested in November on allegations of under-reporting his earnings and misusing company assets, left jail on Wednesday after 108 days in custody. The amount of bail was set at 1 billion Yen (almost $9 million).
The defense team of the 64-year-old former Nissan boss will discuss the timing and the content of the conference later in the day, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation said, citing Ghosn's chief lawyer, Junichiro Hironaka.
Hironaka reportedly suggested that Ghosn may be currently resting, given his supposedly bad health condition after detention.
Ghosn has denied all accusations brought against him. Following his arrest, Nissan removed Ghosn from the post of its chairman.
Along with Ghosn, Greg Kelly, former senior official at Nissan and Ghosn's right-hand man, was arrested in November and released on bail one month later.
