RugbyU: French coach sees 'a little hope' in All Blacks loss

TOULOUSE, France, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) - France coach Guy Noves believes Ireland's historic defeat of the All Blacks gives his team "a little bit of hope" ahead of their Paris showdown against the world champions.

New Zealand lost 40-29 to the Irish in Chicago on Saturday, ending the All Blacks' record 18-match winning run. France will face New Zealand in Paris on November 26 for the first time since they were humiliated 62-13 at the World Cup in 2015.

"It gives a bit of hope that we can do a little something to upset them," said Noves after seeing Ireland secure their first win in over a century against the All Blacks.

"We have said that we'll try to give them a headache.

I don't know if it will lead to a similar result of the Irish but it's certain that the French players will also give their best. Despite being "amazed" by the "magnitude of the score" in the game in Chicago, Noves tempered expectations of his team performing similar heroics.

"The All Blacks are human," said Noves who added that maybe the All Blacks were under-prepared for the game against Ireland. "They are immense champions and competitors. They will not tolerate back-to-back defeats. One run has stopped, but another can start."
