Russian, Japanese Deputy Foreign Ministers to Discuss Peace Treaty Issue on Tuesday

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and his Japanese counterpart, Takeo Mori, will hold talks in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss issues related to the peace treaty negotiations between the two countries

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th March, 2019) Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and his Japanese counterpart, Takeo Mori, will hold talks in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss issues related to the peace treaty negotiations between the two countries.

This will be the second meeting in this format. The first one took place on January 15, one day after the first round of talks between Russian and Japanese foreign ministers, Sergey Lavrov and Taro Kono, respectively, on the peace treaty.

As expected, Morgulov and Mori will discuss issues related to the preparation of the next meeting between Lavrov and Kono, which is planned to be held in Japan.

The diplomats will also exchange opinions on issues related to signing the peace treaty.
