Saad Lays Foundation Stone Of Quarters For Railways Staff

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : The Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq who is on a visit to the metropolis, on Saturday laid the foundation stone for the project of residential quarters for Railways employees.
Construction is being undertaken on the Railways' land at Sultanabad here and the project would complete in 2017. Speaking on the occasion, Khawaja Saad Rafiq said that the present government is determined for the rehabilitation and development of Pakistan Railways.
" We are heading in this very direction", the Minister pointed out. He said that the project pertaining to the construction of quarters for the Railways employees is being initiated keeping in view their welfare and provision of residential facilities to them.
The 48 quarters are being constructed for the Railways employees of grade one to 12. The Minister further pointed out that similar residential projects would also be initiated in other cities in the country.
Later, he presided over a meeting of the officers of Railways' Karachi Division and discussed the matters relating to the functioning as well as the performance of the Railways' Karachi Division. APP/amk-rak/pas/rn
