Cleanliness Work In DMC South Outsourced To Chinese Firm

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : The cleanliness work in the District Municipal Corporation (DMC), Karachi South, has been outsourced to a Chinese firm. This was informed by an official of the DMC Karachi South on Saturday.
He said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed in this regard. The chairman of DMC Karachi South, Malik Muhammad Fayyaz, held a consultative meeting with a delegation of Karachi Municipal Workers' Trade Union Alliance regarding outsourcing the cleanliness work in the area to a Chinese private firm.
The consultative meeting was attended by Alliance's chairperson Kaniz Fatima, president Malik Nawaz, and general secretary Muhammad Haroon Baluch.
Malik Fayyaz pointed out that the work has been outsourced through a contract with a positive approach and the very purpose is to provide clean environment in DMC South in accordance with the international standards.
He was of the view that the workers should not have any concern at all and that no `injustice or exploitation of the workers or staff would be allowed'. The delegation of the Alliance hoped that under the leadership of Malik Fayyaz.
They also assured cooperation towards steps taken for the welfare of the workers. They hoped that all available resources would be utilized for resolving their problems.
