No Progress Possible Without Education: Ebad

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has said that progress was not possible without attaining excellence in the realms of education. He said that education plays a key role towards the progress and developments of the nations.
He was talking to Chairman of the board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK), Inam Ahmed, who called on Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan at the Governor House here on Saturday. The Governor was of the view that for attaining faster progress, it was essential that the curriculum at the academic institutions should be in accordance with the presentday needs.
He said that in Sindh the top priority of the government is promotion of education and the Chief Minister is busy taking measures in this regard. Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad was of the view that progress was only possible with enhancement in the academic standards.
He called for introducing the required reforms at the BIEK and promoting transparency. The Governor said that ontime holding of examinations and announcement of results at the earliest should be ensured. Chairman Inam Ahmed apprised the Governor regarding steps being taken at the BIEK.
