Governor Welcomes British Keenness In Investment

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan has welcomed the keenness of British investors in Pakistan particularly in Karachi, the country's economic hub and in this regard assured all possible support from the government.
He in this regard also lauded the role of British business Centre in Karachi for the promotion of trade and investment in Pakistan. The Governor expressed these views during a meeting with British Deputy High Commissioner Ms.
Belinda Lewis at Governor's house here Friday. He said that with the socio-economic stability he is confidence that Pakistan's future looks bright. Dr. Ebad said that a prosperous and developed Pakistan is in the interest of the region as well as for the world.
He informed the British Deputy HC that after the launch of Zarb-e-Azb peace has started returning in the province as well as all over the country. Highlighting the importance of foreign investment, the governor said that foreign investment play an important role in elimination of terrorism.
Referring to the all important China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative, the governor said that the CPEC is game changer and guarantees strong economy. He further informed Ms. Belinda that the CPEC project that was initiated with dollor 46 billion, included 34 billion Dollars in energy sector, with the objective to get ride of energy crisis the country is faced with.
To keep economic wheal moving, the governor informed that uninterrupted electricity was being provided in Economic zones. Belinda lauded the close friendly relationship between Pakistan and Britain and said that these ties would further strengthen with the passage of time.
She assured every cooperation and assistance on the part of Britain for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. She appreciated the restoration of peaceful condition in Pakistan especially in Sindh.
