Peshawar, Swat, Dir Lower Reach Regional Inter-Club Hockey

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : Two teams from Peshawar, Eleven stars Swat, Dir Lower Club took berth into the final of their respective Regional Inter-Club final being played simultaneously at Swat and Peshawar on Saturday.
In Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium, there are two teams each from Peshawar, Nowhsera and Charsadda took part and among them two teams of Peshawar District comprising Civil Quarters Senior and Prince Civil Quarters moved to the final after defeating their respective rivals in the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final Civil Quarters Senior defeated Malik Club Nowshera by 3-0 in a one-sided affair.
For Civil Quarters full-back Ijaz sounded the board with his forceful hit on the penalty corner while Zahid in the 30th and Samad in the 67th minute scored one goal each to make a 3-0 tally.
Malik Club Nowshera tried their hard to reduce the margin but failed. In the other semi-final Prince Civil Quarters defeated Rajar Club Charsadda by 5-0 in another one-sided match. For Prince Club Fawad Khan, Yasir Ali Nouman, Ibrhaim and Aziz Khan scored one goal each.
In the Swat Region Nawa Khali beat Dir Upper by 4-0 scored by Shoukat, Sajjad, Amir, Rehman and Atta UIlah were the main scorers. APP/ijz/mdi
