Lucky Star Advance In 8th Right To Play Soccer

PESHAWAR, Nov 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 05th Nov, 2016 ) : Lucky stars Mardan advanced to next round after securing 2-1 victory against Shah Said Club in the ongoing 8th Right to Play District Mardan Inter-Club Football Championship being played at Younis Stadium Mardan on Saturday.
The match was started on fast tempo and Shah Said club jolted rival Lucky Stars club by taking an early lead through Jehnazeb on the field attempt. After taking Shah Said club kept up pressure but failed to click in front of the back defence line of Lucky Stars club.
It was in the 19th minute when Lucky Stars succeeded in leveling the tally 1-1 when Yousaf netted a fine goal on the field attempt. The two teams Lucky Stars and Shah Said clubs raided on each other territories but both were locked at the end of the first session play.
It was the second session in which Lucky Stars club succeeded in taking a vital lead through Muhammad Imran on the field attempt. Mid-fielder Sajjad Khan travelled past two defenders before giving a free ball to unmarked Muhammad Imran who did nothing wrong in dispatching the ball into the net to make the tally 2-1.
Shah Said Club tried their hard to level the tally but it failed due to tight marking. It was only in the 67th minute when Lucky Stars got another golden opportunity when was awarded a penalty kick but the attempt of Sajjad went wide from the goal-post and thus the match ended in favour of Lucky Stars at 2-1.
Ali Rehman along with Abbas Ali and Arshad supervised the match while Fida Muhammad acted as match commissioner. APP/ijz/ff
