KIRKENES (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) Norway's Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Soreide said Wednesday she would accompany Prime Minister Erna Solberg on a trip to Russia's city of St. Petersburg in April to attend a global Arctic forum."In April, the prime minister and I will take part in the 'Arctic: Territory of Dialogue' forum in St. Petersburg," the diplomat told reporters.
Speaking in the northern Norwegian town of Kirkenes, she reaffirmed the need to work together with Russia in the north, maintain dialogue and practical contacts between the two Arctic nations.
The forum will be held at the ExpoForum exhibition and convention center on April 9-10. Organizers said in January that a dozen of countries had confirmed their plans to attend what they bill as the largest platform for talks on how to develop the Arctic.
