Orientation Programme For Newly-admitted Students At UVAS

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore organised an orientation programme for newly-admitted students of various undergraduate degree classes at the City Campus, here on Friday.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the orientation programme while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and Dean Faculty of Bio- sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and a large number of newly-admitted students with their parents and faculty members attended.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor said that the university was equally focusing on character building and personality development of students along with their formal education and skills development.
He said that UVAS had been ranked 10th in sports activities as well as 10th in Overall Ranking of Pakistani Higher Education Institutions by the Higher Education Commission for the year 2015.
He advised students to be punctual and attend classes regularly, follow UVAS discipline and focus on their studies.
He said that the UVAS had replaced the soda cold drinks with its own flavoured pure milk on its Ravi and City campuses cafeterias to promote consumption of healthy drinks. He said pure milk and high quality meat were also available for UVAS students and employees.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Masood Rabbani congratulated students and advised them to be expert in their concerning field. Controller of Examination Sajjad Haider gave presentation and highlighted UVAS degree programmes, credit hours, grading system (GPA,CGPA), allocation of marks, class attendance percentage, etc.
