National Challenge Belt Boxing Postponed

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) - The National Challenge boxing Belt bout in super bantamweight category which was scheduled to be held tomorrow, Saturday at Gawadar has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
Secretary, Pakistan Boxing Council, Rasheed Baloch told APP here on Friday that the national champion Mohammad Waqas from Quetta will be taking on challenger Nadir Baloch for the prestigious belt in 56 kgs super bantamweight category .
He further informed that PBC's Balochistan vice president Hameed Baloch and Durra Khan are making all the arrangements for holding the event in a befitting manner. He said the PBC is facing problem in assembling the boxing ring at Gawader.
"The amount being spent in transporting the ring from Quetta is too much and that is the reason we postponed it to arrange the funds". The PBC secretary said that other than the bout of Nadir Baloch and Waqas a number of under card fights have also been arranged to warm up and amuse the audience.
He further informed that the November 12 bout has been dedicated to the victims of recent blast in Quetta. He said that PBC legal advisor Sardar Haleemi has taken care of all the expenses of the event and all the PCB officials in Pakistan will gather on the day of the bout at Gawader to look after the entire activity and help the organisers.
