Japanese Mayor Stresses More Business Ties Between Two Countries

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : Yamamoto Masanori, a Japanese town mayor, has stressed the need for developing the business relations between Pakistan and Japan. Addressing a meeting of Sialkot exporters and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here on Friday, he said that his country wanted to develop strong cultural, trade and diplomatic relations with Pakistan, and it was focusing on mutual development of the SMEs sector as well.
SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta, Senior Vice President Adnan Arshad Sethi, Vice President Mian Imran Akbar and others were also present on the occasion. The visiting mayor showed keen interest in developing agriculture-based trade between his twon Kibichuo and Sialkot.
He said his country was an important trading partner of Pakistan. Replying to a question, Yamamoto said, "islam is a peaceful religion, which gives lessons of peace, unity, harmony, love, affection and brotherhood." In his welcome address, SCCI President Majid Bhutta hoped that the mayor's visit would help expand bilateral trade and open new avenues of economic and trade cooperation.
He requested the Japanese mayor to play his role in creating effective linkages between private sectors of Sialkot and his city Kibichuo. He said that the SMEs sector of Sialkot could benefit significantly from its counterparts in Japan in terms of research & development, production techniques and methods to curb issues like energy crisis.
