Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that he had accepted the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides to visit the island country.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd February, 2019) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday that he had accepted the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides to visit the island country.
Earlier in the day, the two ministers held talks in Moscow, during which bilateral relations and the Cyprus issue were discussed.
"In conclusion, my colleague invited me to visit Cyprus once again, I accepted this invitation with a great pleasure," Lavrov said after the meeting.
The foreign minister of the Eastern Mediterranean island nation arrived in Moscow on Thursday. His last visited Russia in April 2018.
