Haider Club Mardan Advance In 8th Right To Play Soccer

PESHAWAR, Nov 4 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : Haider Club Mardan secured 2-1 victory against Eagle Club in the ongoing 8th Right to Play District Mardan Inter-Club Football Championship being played at Younis Stadium Mardan on Friday.
Chairman DFA Mardan Ali Gohar was the chief guest on this occasion. International Footballer Muhammad Zahir, office-bearers of District Football Association, Representative of Right to Play Mardan Wali Khan and large number of spectators were also present.
Before the start of the match the players of Haider Club and Eagle Club were introduced to the chief guest. He also lauded the support extended by right to play for the last eight years to DFA Mardan.
He said DFA Mardan is regularly holding Inter-Club Football Championship with the strong support of Right to Play. Haider Club jolted by Eagle Club when it took the lead in the 7th minute when Ibrahim netted a fine goal.
Soon after taking the lead, Eagle Club kept up pressure to double the lead but failed due to tight marking of Haider Club defenders. It was in the 18th minute when Haider Club succeeded in leveling the tally through Imran on the field attempt.
At half-time both Haider Club and Eagle Club were tied at 1-1. It was the second session in which Haider Club got the lead, this time through left winger Jibran on the field attempt. Jibran dodged two defenders and slammed in a beautiful goal from the top of the Box area.
Eagle Club forwards tried their hard to level the tally but failed and thus Haider Club won the match by 2-1. Ali Rehman, Abbas Ali and Arsalan supervised the match while Fida Muhammad acted as match commissioner.
