MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) A Moscow court has ordered Apple's office in Russia to pay a total of $6,871 to reimburse customers whose iPhones broke down earlier than the claimed five-year service period, a spokesman for the court told Sputnik Thursday.

"In 2018, the court satisfied a total of eight complaints and ordered to pay a total of 450,000 rubles (about $6,871). In 2019, three complaints were partly satisfied and ten others are being processed," Alexei Chernikov said.

According to the spokesman, the users complained that their smart phones repeatedly could not be switched on or charged after the one year warranty period expired, but the service period was still in effect. The examination showed that the problems had been caused by production-related faults, Chernikov added.
