A spokesman of Frontier Corps Balochistan said here that unknown terrorists had planted IED on railway track near Aab-e-Gum area between Mach and Sibi to target Jaffar Express train coming from Rawalpindi to Quetta.
"After receiving intelligence information, the personnel of FC and Railways Police rushed to the scene and defused the IED," he said.
He further said the remote-controlled IED exploded when bomb disposal squad personnel of FC and Railways Police were engaged in defusing it as the terrorists hiding in mountains pushed switch of the remote to send signals to IED for explosion.
