MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) Russia's Foreign Ministry called upon supporters of the Ukrainian government on Tuesday to stop it from wreaking havoc in the breakaway eastern regions, known collectively as Donbas.Three blasts ripped through a living quarters in the city of Donetsk earlier in the day, including near a hotel housing the mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Local militias called it a drone attack.
"We urge the backers of Ukraine to restrain its government and hold it back from military adventures that could lead to a catastrophe," the Russian ministry said in a statement on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the change of power in Ukraine.
It accused authorities in Kiev of being ready to "reignite at any moment" a smoldering conflict in Donbas in an attempt to bring it back under control. Over 12,000 died in the war since it broke out in 2014.
