MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the blocking by Facebook of an RT project account was another example of pressure on Russian media and freedom of speech.
"About the fact that Facebook, prompted by CNN, and CNN, prompted by the US Marshall Fund, blocked the In the Now page, one of the RT projects, I think this is definitely another example of pressure on Russian media, on freedom of speech and this is regrettable," Lavrov told reporters in Moscow after talks with Slovak Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Miroslav Lajcak.
He said he was against retaliatory measures in the sphere of media rights restriction.
