ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : Indian police have rearrested the President of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), Abdul Qayoom Wani, soon after his release from Kupwara jail on court orders in occupied Kashmir. Indian police had arrested six government employees including the EJAC President, Abdul Qayoom Wani, on October 22, this year, after foiling their meeting, KMS reported. The meeting was called to discuss future course of action on the authorities' move to sack the government employees for participating in anti-India demonstrations during the ongoing uprising.
On October 23, six government employees including the EJAC President were shifted to Kupwara and Baramulla sub-jails. A magistrate granted bail in favour of the arrested employees on Thursday. All leaders were released. However, the police rearrested Abdul Qayoom Wani soon after his release. APP/qur/mtd/anm
