ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Adviser to the Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui Thursday said people would decide through vote that who would become the country's prime minister in year 2018.
Talking in a tv programme, he said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had introduced new ways of agitation and criticism which were not acceptable in civilized societies. Opposition played vital role in any democratic system and its responsibility was to check the government's performance, he said and added the PTI did not want any investigation into Panama papers rather it was only doing politics on the issue.
After wasting six months of the nation in the politics of agitation and protests, PTI chief Imran Khan had accepted the formation of a commission on the Panama issue which Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had offered in April, he said.
Irfan Siddiqui said the people had rejected Imran's politics of allegations as evident from PML-N candidates victory in by-elections, besides Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and local government polls.
The people were supporting the policies of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, he added. Irfan Siddiqui said a political leader should be man of commitment but unfortunately Imran Khan had never honoured his words.
