ABU DHABI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th February, 2019) Production of the first serial batch of Russia's new Irkut MC-21 passenger jets is delayed by one year until the end of 2020 due to the United States suspending composite supplies, CEO of the Rostec state corporation Sergey Chemezov said Monday.

"Due to the fact that the United States halted supplies of composites we are turning to our own materials... The tests are nearing completion now, and the launch of the MC-21 serial production is somewhat postponed.
