Bizenjo, Zehri Visit Gadani

QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping, Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo and Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri Thursday visited Gadani Ship breaking Yard and inspected the ship which was burnt down in gas cylinder blasts, in which several laborers were killed and injured.
They were accompanied by Senator, Agha Shahbaz Durrani, Provincial Minister, Sardar Aslam Bezinjo, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullath Chattha, MPAs - Prince Ali Ahmed Baloch and Sardar Saleh Bhootani, Commissioner Kalat Division, Muhammad Hashim Ghalzai and senior officials.
Deputy Commissioner, Lasbela, Syed Zulfiqar Shah briefed the Federal Minister and the Chief Minister about the incident.
He said that the owner of the abandoned ship started work of dismantling ship without No Objection Certificate (NOC), preventative measures and without cleansing of fuel tanks.
"The negligence of the ship's owner caused the gas cylinder blasts in the ship," he said. He said that the ship was an oil tanker. He said that soon after the incident took place, the district management launched rescue operation and rescued laborers trapped in the ship.
He further said that the ship's owner and two other accused had been taken into custody and investigation into the incident was underway.
