Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 18th February, 2019) With the increased diplomatic tensions between India and Pakistan, Islamabad has called back its High Commissioner in India.

Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal in a tweet said that Pakistan has called back its High Commissioner in India Sohail Mahmood for consultations.

“We have called back our High Commissioner in India for consultations. He left New Delhi this morning,” he wrote.

The Pak-India tensions have again intensified following Pulwama attack in Kashmir.

At least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in Indian-occupied Kashmir in one the deadliest attacks.

The attack saw explosives packed inside a van rip through buses in a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying some 2,500 members of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Two blue buses carrying around 35 people each bore the brunt of the massive blast, heard miles away, around 20 kilometres from the city of Srinagar on the main highway to Jammu.

Following the attack, India revoked its Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan.
