Sh Rasheed not invited to PM House dinner for Saudi crown prince

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 18th February, 2019) Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday started his tour of South Asia and China with an official two-day visit to Pakistan.

Upon his arrival at the Pakistani Noor Khan air base, the Saudi crown prince was welcomed by Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will himself drive him to the PM House where the Saudi crown prince is staying.

A dinner was arranged for the Saudi crown prince in PM House later. The coalition parties’ leaders and government ministers were invited to the meeting.

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, Grand Democratic Alliance minister Dr Fehmida Mirza and Balochistan Awami Party’s Zubaida Jalal were present in the reception dinner.

However, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed was not present in the dinner.

According to reports, Sheikh Rasheed was not invited to the dinner, raising many questions in political circles.

Sources said that he was not invited to the dinner. However, he will be present at the ceremony to honour the Saudi crown prince to be held at President House today.

Mohammed bin Salman will be awarded with the highest civilian award ‘Nishan-e-Pakistan’.

During the visit, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are expected to sign a number of investment agreements, including for a $10 billion refinery and petrochemicals complex in the coastal city of Gwadar.

The crown prince is expected to conclude his Asia tour with a visit China on Thursday and Friday.
