Pulwama attack: T-Series removes songs by Pakistani singers from YouTube

The Indian move came after Pulwama attack in Kashmir that killed 40 Indian soldiers.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 17th February, 2019) Indian music company T-Series has pulled down all the songs by Pakistani singers from their YouTube channel.

The Indian move came after Pulwama attack in Kashmir that killed 40 Indian soldiers.

The music company had recently collaborated with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Atif Aslam for two different singles.

Pakistani singer Atif Aslam’s new song named 'Baarishein' was released on the channel recently, which has now been removed.

Indian far-right political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had on Saturday asked all the music companies to stop working with Pakistani artists.

“We have verbally communicated to Indian music companies like T-Series, Sony Music, Venus, Tips Music etc to not work with Pakistani singers. These companies should stop it immediately or we will take action in our own style,” an MNS leader had said.

The Pak-India tensions have again intensified following Pulwama attack in Kashmir.

At least 44 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in Indian-occupied Kashmir in one the deadliest attacks.

The attack saw explosives packed inside a van rip through buses in a convoy of 78 vehicles carrying some 2,500 members of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Two blue buses carrying around 35 people each bore the brunt of the massive blast, heard miles away, around 20 kilometres from the city of Srinagar on the main highway to Jammu.

Following the attack, India revoked its Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan.

It also covered a portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan from the cricket Club of India (CCI).
