WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 17th February, 2019) US State Department said in a statement on Saturday that its spokesperson Heather Nauert had withdrawn her nomination for the post of US Ambassador to the United Nations.
"Today Heather Nauert withdrew herself from consideration for the nomination of U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. The President [Donald Trump] will make an announcement with respect to a nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations soon," the statement says.
Nikki Haley previously announced� her intention to resign. US administration nominated Nauert to succeed Haley.
