JCP Recommends 14 Additional Judges To Lahore High Court

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) has recommended the Names of 14 persons to be appointed additional judges of Lahore High Court (LHC).

The commission proposed names and referred its recommendations to the Parliamentary Committee to appoint judges in the superior courts for further consideration. The JCP met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.

Senior judges of the top court, chief justices of LHC also attended the meeting along with Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid and other members of the commission. Sources told APP that recommendations of LHC's 14 additional judges include Mujahid Mustqeem, Abdul Sattar, Tariq Ifthikar, Habib Ullah Aamir, Basir Paracha, Asad Javed, Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Jawad Hassan, Ahmad raza Gillani, Muzamil Akhtar Shabbir, Mudassar Khalid Abbasi, Abdul Rehman Aurangzaib, Chaudhry Abdul Aziz and Muhammad Ali.
