The Government of Punjab on Friday imposed section-144 under the Criminal Procedure Code ahead of the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to Pakistan

RAWALPINDI (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 15th February, 2019) The Government of Punjab on Friday imposed section-144 under the Criminal Procedure Code ahead of the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to Pakistan.The Section-144 has been imposed in the city for seven days from Feb 15 to 21. Saudi Crown Prince is due to land in Pakistan tomorrow (Feb 16).Further, a ban on pillion riding will be imposed in the Federal capital for two-days during the crown prince's visit.

The ban on pillion riding will be imposed from February 16 and 17 in Islamabad.A notification for the imposition of Section 144 has been issued by the Punjab government, according to reports.Read also: Here is how government is planning to welcome Prince Mohammad bin SalmanUnder the Section 144, public gatherings of five or more people are prohibited, while processions and rallies in any public place within the limits of the area where the law has been imposed are also not allowed.

Display and carrying of weapons is also banned under the section. It is reported that Metrobus train service till Faizabad will also be temporarily suspended during the two-day visit. The authorities have also issued an alternate routes for the public.Prince Muhammad, upon his arrival in the country on Feb 16, will be presented a guard of honor at the PM House, followed by an important meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.According to details, Pakistan Airforce (PAF)'s Sherdil Squadron, comprising of the cutting-edge JF-17 Thunder aircraft will give an airborne salute to the dignitaries.

Vehicles for crown prince's use will be brought from Saudi Arabia whereas the government has already booked 300 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles for the visiting delegation.On Feb 17, the crown prince along with his 100-member delegation will call on President Arif Alvi, where the royal guest will be honored with a luncheon at the President House.
