Special Cell Set Up For Accountability In Department: IG Punjab

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Inspector General Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said a special cell has been set up for accountability in the department. He said this while presiding over a meeting held at the Central Police Office here on Thursday.
He said the cell would work under supervision of Additional IGP Discipline and Inspection while one DIG with a team of three AIGs and one PSP level member from each region of the province would work for the Discipline and Inspection Cell.
The cell would investigate complaints against high handedness of police officers and officials transparently and legal action will be taken without any delay, he added. He directed the Additional IG Welfare and Finance to improve monitoring system of "Guzara Allowance ATM Cards" issued to widows of martyrs and officials passed away during service.
The IGP directed to expedite the process of trackers installation in police vehicles throughout the province till December 15. He also directed to utilize all available resources to complete establishing front desks in remaining police stations of the province during the current financial year.
Sukhera directed the DIG IT to regulate and monitor ACRs of officials through HRMIS system. He directed DIG Special Protection Unit Agha Yousuf to complete the process of shifting headquarters of SPU to Farooqabad which should be operational in one month.
