Industrialists Urged To Avail NSIS Facility Of STEVTA For Quality Enhancement

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : The senior vice president Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) Turab Ali Khoja has called upon the industrialists to avail opportunity of National Skill Information System (NSIS) for quality manufacturing of their products through skilled manpower.
He expressed these remarks while addressing the awareness programme organised by Regional Directorate of Sindh Technical education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) here at HCCI secretariat on Thursday.
He said that cost of production was on rise in industries as a result of gas and electricity load shedding, however the industrialists could minimize the cost of their production by appointing technical and skilled manpower in their units.
The Director Industrial Coordination STEVTA Eng. Abdul Hafeez Abro informed that the awareness programme has been designed with the view to formulate effective policy under which the skill development could be carried out in industries.
He said that technical training to youth would provide them job opportunities in different sectors including the industries. The youth should get required training from the institutes so that industrial sector could be able to hire their services, he added.
He informed that STEVTA was forming the Institute Management Committees having representation of industrialists in order to prepare the training courses with their consultation. The Liaison Office Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Sindh Abdul Ghani Rajput also gave briefing on the subject and the scope of skilled manpower in the industrial sector.
Among others, Deputy Director STEVTA Shahana Jabeen, Vice President HCCI Nawab Ahmed Khanzada, Ziauddin Qureshi, Zia Masroor Jaferi, Aslam Khan Deswali, Azam Chohan, Syed Yawar Ali Shah and Salahuddin Khan Ghouri were also present on the occasion.
