'Schools Being Connected With Int'l Educational Institutions'

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Provincial Minister for education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan on Thursday said the public sector schools were being connected with the best educational institutions of the world.
He said this while presiding over a meeting regarding connecting public sectors schools of Punjab with the best educational institutions of the world through joint programme of the DSD and British Council.
The minister said it would be possible for brilliant students to exchange mutual experiences,observations and educational abilities of the world through internet under connecting classroom programme.
He said 550 schools had been selected from 51 clusters of Punjab in the first phase under International school Award of British Council and selected schools had been connected with 44,000 schools of 180 countries.
Representatives of British Council gave briefing to the minister regarding successful completion of the first phase and improvement of schools. The meeting considered the steps for expanding of connecting classroom programme.
Secretary Schools Abdul Jabbar Sheheen, Programme Director DSD Saeed Ramzan, Waqar Qureshi and Ahmad Ali Kamboh from PITB, Muhammad Ali of British Council and other attended the meeting.
