SOCHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th February, 2019) Europe is an interesting market to promote Russia's luxury Aurus vehicles, which is part of the Kortezh series, and the car brand will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show early next month, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Thursday.
"The European market is also interesting for us, that is why we will showcase Aurus a limousine and a sedan within the framework of the Geneva Motor Show on March 6-7," Manturov said on the sidelines of the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
The Kortezh project envisages the creation of luxury cars for top state officials. The cars are already used by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Federal Protective Service, which is charged with protecting high-ranking Russian officials.
The Aurus cars will start being sold to the general public later in 2019, with retail prices expected to start at 10 million rubles ($146,000).
The Russian Investment Forum is taking place on February 14-15 in the resort city of Sochi. Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is an official media partner of the event.
