SBP Organise Hockey Match To Show Solidarity With Kashmiris

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) - sports board Punjab women hockey team defeated Rukhsana Arshad Hockey academy by 1-0 in an exhibition hockey match at National Hockey Stadium.
The match was played under the banner of Sports Board Punjab to show solidarity with inhabitants of Occupied Kashmir. Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman and Azad Kashmir MLA Sehrish Qamar Malik were the guests of honour.
Organizing Secretary Muhammad Sajid was also present on this occasion. Maryam Haneef struck the only goal of the match. In his address, DG SBP said Kashmiri people are fighting their freedom war and the silence of world community on this hot issue is quite questionable.
He said Sports Board Punjab is making all out endeavours for the revival of hockey. Later, Director General Sports Punjab Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman distributed prizes among the players.
