NAB Recovers Rs 24.7 Mln From Accused In Wapda Town Case

MULTAN, , (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Ex-Member Management Committee of Wapda Employees Cooperative Housing Society Habib-ur-Rehman, who was arrested on Oct 27, has paid Rs 24.7 million after his application for plea bargain was accepted by an accountability court.
Accused Habib-ur-Rehman was involved in issuance of illegal files against heavy kickbacks. Other arrested co-accused have also applied for plea bargain and their requests are in process. In another instance, an accountability court granted seven days physical remand of accused Allah Ditta.
The accused allegedly caused loss of millions to WAPDA Town. Another seven co-accused have already surrendered their liability of Rs 177 million.
