ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 13th February, 2019) Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui visited Special Communications Organization (SCO) on Wednesday. On his arrival, the Federal Minister was warmly welcomed by Director General of SCO Major General Ali Farhan, HI (M). A briefing on SCO was given to Federal Minister highlighting various ongoing projects including NGMS and Pak China OFC projects.
The Federal Minister praised SCO performance and congratulated the Management for phenomenal development of IT & Telecom facilities in far flung areas of AJ&K and GB. He acknowledged the efforts and achievements of SCO, specially the state of the art NGMS core network, capable of providing 3G/4G services to its customers in the region. He also appreciated completion of phase-I of Pak China OFC project in a record time. Later the Federal Minister planted a sapling at SCO premises. NNI
