Russia, Saudi Arabia to Create Program for Cooperation in Space - Roscosmos

Russia and Saudi Arabia will make up a program of cooperation in space, Russia's Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin said Wednesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th February, 2019) Russia and Saudi Arabia will make up a program of cooperation in space, Russia's Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin said Wednesday.

"With his Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who became head of the Saudi Space Agency at the end of last year, we decided to form a program of cooperation between the two countries in the space sphere. By the way, the Prince was an astronaut in the recent past," Rogozin wrote on Twitter.

On Monday, Rogozin paid a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Roscosmos and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai have agreed on the new date of the first flight of the UAE astronauts on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS). Back then, Rogozin met with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to discuss space cooperation.
