People of Thar get medical treatment from Army medical camp

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Around three thousand of people Thursday received medical treatment with provision of prescribed medicines at the Army Special Free Medical Camp organized at Chhachhro Twon of Thar district.

The camp was organized by Pakistan Army Hyderabad Garrison. Besides clinical test and examination of the people, special attention has also been given to pregnant women with provision of additional vitamins in view of malnutrition among them.

According to press release issued here, the Army special free medical camp at Chhachhro twon was the part of series of free medical camps which planed to organize in Chhachhro, Mithi, Diplo, Nagarparkar, Parchi ji Veeri, Gadra and Khensar, the small towns of Tharparkar and Umerkot districts in the month of November 2016.

The free special medical camp began from October 31 which will continue till November, 4. The camp will be organise in Mithi from November 5 to 9, Diplo from November 10 to 14, Nagarparkar from November 15 to 19, Parchi Ji Veeri from November 20 to 24 and in Gadra and Khensar from November 25 to 29.

The experienced doctors including Gynaecologists, Podiatrists and lady doctors with paramedical staff have been assigned the task to conduct clinical examinations of the people before the start of winter season and prescribed medicines are being provided to them free of cost, the press release added.

It further stated that the special free medical camps are equipped with state of the art clinical laboratories and ambulances. These ambulances would move to far flung villages of the desert districts and provide free medical treatment to the residents at their doorstep.

Besides, the task has also been assigned to Army doctors and paramedical staff to provide training to paramedics as well as Lady Health Visitors, Midwives sand Lady Health Workers of Sindh Health Department on modern direction about the healthcare of mother and child. APP/jvd/abd/ahn
