KP Extends MSP To Three More Districts

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : The Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided the extension of the Municipal Services Programme (MSP) to D.I.
Khan, Swat and Dir districts. The extension of the programme to three more districts will cost Rs.1.25 billion. Decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held here Thursday in the Conference Room of Government with Senior Minister for LG&RD, Inayatullah in the chair.
Beside, improvement in cleanliness, sanitation and drinking water, the step will also provide basic facilities of life to the people. Those present on the occasion were included Project Director, MSP, Riaz Mehsud, Engineer Alamgir Afridi and other concerned officials.
The meeting reviewed so far performance of MSP Project, new schemes and problems in detailed. The senior minister was briefed in detail regarding drinking water, sanitation, cleanliness, replacement of old & rusted pipes, public toilets, utilization of MSP fund and vehicles in General Bus Stands (GBS), Shahi Khata, Shahi Bagh, Town-I.
Town-II, Kakshal, Bhana Mari, Tehkal and other union councils. The senior minister directed the concerned authorities for provision of drinking water, cleanliness and drainage system on sustainable basis and timely completion of the ongoing schemes.
