Bakhshali Advance In 8th Right To Play Inter-Club Football

PESHAWAR, Nov 3 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Bakhshali advanced to next round after securing 2-0 victory against Shaheen Club in the ongoing 8th Right to Play Mardan District Inter-Club Football Championship being played under the aegis of District Football Association Mardan at Younis Stadium on Thursday.
Former International footballer Muhammad Zahir was the chief guest on the occasion and before the start of match the players were introduced to him. Organizing Secretary Ali Gohar, officials of the DFA, Mardan and a large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the match.
Bakhshali Club Mardan opened the account in the 9th minute when Abdul Ahad slammed in a beautiful goal on the field attempt. After taking lead,Mardan put in more pressure to double the lead but were failed because of the tight marking by Shaheen Club defenders.
Shaheen Club also got some easy goal scoring chances but due to poor finishing it unable to level the tally.
It was the second session in which Bakhshali Mardan doubled the lead when right winger Jabbar Khan slammed in a beautiful goal to make the tally 2-0.
Shaheen Club on the other hands also kept up pressure to reduce the margin but failed due to poor handling of the ball in front of the rival goal-post. Thus, Bakhshali Mardan won the match by 2-0.
In the other matches played on four different venues Haider Club beat Eagle stars Club by 2-1, Stars club Mardan beat Shah Said Club by 2-1,United club Jalala beat Gojar Ghari Club by 3-1. Zahid Khan scored two goals and Afsar scored one goal while Usman reduced the margin for Gojar Gari Club.
Ali Rehman was the chief referee while Abbas Ali, Arsalan assisted him and Fida Muhammad was the match commissioner. APP/ijz/anm
