Rs 800 Million Being Spent On Construction Of Hostel, Labs At BUET

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : The new administrative bloc, academic bloc, hostel and laboratories are being constructed at a cost of Rs 800 million at Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology Khuzdar to make number one university in province.
According to official sources in the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms here on Thursday, the government had allocated record funds for the universities of Balochistan. The government is working to promoting higher education in the and establishing new universities in less-developed areas of the province to expand higher education network.
The establishment of universities in Turbat, Zhob and Gwadar would provide the higher education opportunities to the local population in their areas. The Prime Minister had announced Rs one billion package for development of Ziarat as a model tourist city while protecting its forestry and environment.
Ziarat, full of Apple, cherry, walnut and grape, has become very popular tourist destination. A master plan will be developed for an integrated development of infrastructure. While commenting on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework, a senior officials said, it would create employment opportunities and help alleviate poverty in remote areas of Balochistan.
This project would not only promote trade and commerce from Gwadar to Kashgar but also ensure basic infrastructure including roads, electricity and energy projects in the province. The infrastructure development being carried out under CPEC project would greatly benefit people of Balochistan and create development opportunities there.
