Australia, Pakistan Tie At Points Table In 6th Sultan Of Johar Hockey Cup In Malaysia

PESHAWAR, Nov 3 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Australia and Pakistan tied up seven points each on the point table after the completion of the third round of the round robin format at the 6th Sultan of Johor Cup being played at Taman Daya hockey Stadium, Johor Bahru City, Malaysia.
Six national men junior teams are taking part in the Cup. Pakistan has performed very well till now, winning two and drawing one match. With seven points, they are level with Australia at the top though the Aussies are ahead because of the superior goal difference.
The two table toppers clash on Friday. Pakistan's last fixture is against Japan on Saturday who have surprised everyone with victories over England and New Zealand, and currently stand third in the table.
After the round robin, the six teams will be in action on Sunday for the final and other position matches.
Both Australia and Pakistan tied up at the points table with seven points each, however, Australia has better goal average with (plus) 14 against Pakistan with (plus) 6.
Japan is on third with six points of two win and a lost. England got four points with a win, draw and a lost after playing three matches, host Malaysia is struggling on fourth with just on points with a draw and two lost matches and New Zealand has not points with playing three and lost all.
