Homage paid to Faisal, Meraj on their martyrdom anniversary in IoK

ISLAMABAD, Nov 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) have paid rich tributes to the two youth, Faisal Yousuf Butt and Meraj-ud-Din Dar, on their martyrdom anniversary.

According to KMS, Faisal Yousuf Butt and Meraj-ud-Din Dar of Nowgam area of Srinagar were martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter at Chatergam in Badgam on November 3, 2014. The APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar said that these two innocent youth were travelling in their car and without any reason or provocation they were showered with bullets by the troops.

He said that Indian Army claimed responsibility, apologized and even promised to punish the culprits, but like Indian rulers they also made the promise not for fulfilling it. "And those responsible for this bloodshed are roaming free busy in the same human carnage, for which they should have either been behind bars or hanged to death," he added.

The DFP spokesman in a statement said that the two youth were neither carrying gun nor a stone but were mercilessly killed by the Indian armed forces."Both of them were students. The so-called government of Jammu Kashmir and army had ordered a probe into the incident and pledged to bring the culprits to book but nothing practical has been done till date to punish the killers," he said.

He said that the blood of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go in vain and the Kashmiris would take their mission to its logical conclusion at all costs. He also condemned the arrest of Professor Imtiyaz Ahmad who was arrested in lieu of his brother-in-law Hilal Ahmad - a senior DFP activist.

"Such actions are highly condemnable. We demand immediate release of Professor Imtiyaz Ahmad," he added. Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement in a statement in Srinagar also paid glowing tributes to Faisal Yousuf Butt and Meraj-ud-Din Dar on their martyrdom anniversaries. APP/rb/mtd/bmq
