ACP arrests seven officials

SUKKUR, Nov 3 (Pakistan Point News - APP - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : A team of Anti Corruption Police (ACP) Shikarpur raided district prison and arrested seven officials, said the local police on Thursday. The accused, head clerk Nisar Ahmed Shaikh and police constables Abdul Waheed, Noor Ahmed, Talib Hussain, Bux Ali, Mehrab and Asadullah, were arrested on charges of corruption, while the prison superintendent Ali Bux Shaikh was absconding. According to ACP Shikarpur circle officer Abdul Wahab Buriro, the prison superintendent has suspended.

He said the officials were involved in massive corruption, including usurping fuel, maintenance funds and Zakat funds. A team of ACP Sukkur also raided the office of the director of college education and has taken the records into custody pertaining to maintenance and recruitments from 2010 to date. "We are going through the records, after which we will be able to share information with the media," Deputy Director, Anti Corruption, Mohammad Ali Wassan said. It is pertinent to mention here that the raid was conducted on complaints of massive irregularities in recruitments, postings, transfers and misuse of maintenance funds.
