Hanif Abbasi Files Petition In SC Seeking Disqualification Of

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Nov, 2016 ) : Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Leader Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday submitted petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and its Secretary General Jehangir Tareen over tax invasion and hiding of assets.
Hanif Abbasi filed two petitions under Article 184 through Advocate Akram Sheikh. He stated that both Imran Khan and Jehangir Tareen had evaded tax so their parliament membership should be suspended.
He pleaded the court to disqualify their membership of National Assembly and issue direction for re-election on these Constituencies. Hanif Abbasi in its reply stated that PTI Chief earned money through illegal sources as he bought assests in United Kingdom through offshore company namely Niazi Services Limited.
He said that Imran Khan submitted wrong declaration in Election Commission of Pakistan. He also alleged that Imran Khan invested in real estate and bought 300 kanal land in Bani Galla Islamabad, which was not shown in declaration submitted before the ECP.
He said that Imran Khan bought a luxury flat on Constitution Avenue which was also not mentioned in the declaration. He said that Jehangir Khan evaded Rs 120 million tax in 2010 and Rs 160 million tax in 2011 and also got billion of rupees loan written off from banks.
He said that Jehangir Tareen also owned offshore company according to Panama papers. He pleaded the court to disqualify Jehangir Tareen and issue order for re-election in NA-154 constituency.
