Gadani Tragedy Echoes In Balochistan Assembly

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : Gadani oil tanker blast incident was echoed in the session of the Balochistan Assembly and the house was told that a committee had been set up to conduct probe into the incident as it claimed precious lives.
The assembly session was held with Speaker, Ms. Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani in chair, here on Wednesday. Opposition leader, Maulana Abdul Wasey tabled adjournment motion, seeking debate on law and order situation.
He said that 62 law enforcement personnel were martyred and over 100 were injured in act of terrorism in Police Training Center Quetta. Supporting the adjournment motion, Provincial Minister for education, Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal said that PTC carnage was a great tragedy which claimed several precious lives.
The adjournment motion was approved for two hours debate on November 7. Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai lamented that a number of laborers were killed in blasts at an oil tanker brought at Gadani Ship breaking Yard.
"We are grieved over huge life loss in Gadani incident". He emphasized the need to take concrete measures to stop such incidents in future. Responding to the debate, Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri said that a high-level committee had been formed to conduct probe into Gadani incident. "Action will be taken against those found responsible for Gadani incident," he said.
