After Imran Khan, sketch artist Sonia makes a beautiful portrait of Allama Iqbal

The sketch includes calligraphy of the poem written by Allama Iqbal ‘Lab pe aati hai dua’.  

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 7th February, 2019) Pakistani sketch artist Sonia Nisa who made a unique portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan through calligraphy has now made another portrait and this time it is of Allama Iqbal.

The sketch is a tribute to Allama Iqbal, a great scholar who is also known as poet of the East.

The sketch includes calligraphy of the poem written by Allama Iqbal ‘Lab pe aati hai dua’.

This new portrait by Sonia Nisa is another achievement to her credit.

Sharing the portrait on her Twitter account, Sonia said, “Alhamdulellah, the work has done on a great "Scholar and شاعرمشرق" on his great poetry.”

She thanked Allah for giving her this great honour.

The artist added that she is now working on a sketch of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhamamd Ali Jinnah.

Calligraphy is a visual art of decorative handwriting with aesthetic value. It is an ancient art form practiced throughout history by numerous civilizations.

Earlier, she had made a portrait of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The portrait by Soia incorporated the National Anthem of Pakistan within Imran Khan’s face. She displayed the portrait at an Art Exhibition in Souq Waqif, Doha, Qatar.

The portrait had gone viral on social media, adding to the fame of the artist.

Honouring her art, Prime Minister Imran Khan called on her at his Bani Gala residence on Wednesday.

Sonia, who lives in Qatar, presented the calligraphy sketch to the prime minister on the occasion.
