ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 02nd Nov, 2016 ) : President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday administered the oath to Member National Assembly Maryam Aurangzeb as Minister of State in a special ceremony held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Minister of State for CADD Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Minister of State/Chairman Privatization Commission Muhammad Zubair, members of Parliament and senior government officials also attended the oath-taking ceremony, which was conducted entirely in urdu language.
Maryam Aurangzeb, after taking oath, called on President Mamnoon Hussain.
Congratulating the minister, the president expressed the hope that she would utilize all her capabilities to serve the country and the nation.
The president on the occasion said it was responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to inform the people about government policies. He said Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and other broadcasting institutions should jointly frame code of conduct, so that instead of sensationalism reliable and correct news could reach the people.
